What does the vetting process look like?
The Valued Veterinarian was built on transparency. The veterinary clinics on our platform are open to sharing the below information on their practice profile for job seekers to see.
Provide actual details regarding compensation. Practices must state compensation type (straight salary, ProSal, hourly, etc.) with real numbers behind them. Salary ranges are not acceptable
Provide transparent details regarding the schedule and hours per week the candidate can expect to work
Must state the exact benefits that are offered
Provide exact expectations regarding patient volume, average transaction cost, appointment times, etc.
Provide exact historical turnover numbers with reasoning for turnover
Must be willing to let the candidate speak to current associate DVMs and support staff (practice can decide when in the interview process this is necessary)
Must be open to “working” interviews where the candidate either shadows or works as a relief for multiple shifts. Practices must be willing to offer full shifts rather than just an hour or two long
Must offer a tangible mentorship plan rather than just promises
Must provide daily technician to doctor ratio
Must provide details regarding continuing education opportunities
Must provide details relating to potential for equity/associate buy-in opportunities
Must be willing to answer all candidate questions with 100% transparency, accuracy, and honesty
